Primary Learners

I have supported children through most year groups but especially years 4, 5 & 6.

Key Stage 1

A tutoring session for a KS1 child will generally incorporate phonics, reading, writing and numeracy skills.  The session will be broken down into small parts to help maintain concentration.

Key Stage 2

A tutoring session for a KS2 child is more focussed upon one or two areas per session.  There could be a single focus such as literacy or numeracy depending on the needs of the child.  Maybe you require your child to have support to complete high quality homework.  This can all be accommodated.

Kent Test

I have a lot of experience tutoring children for the Kent Test.  This includes English, Mathematics, Verbal, Non-Verbal and Spatial Reasoning.  Tutoring will focus on one or two of these areas in each session.  I regularly assess the progress of the children to enable both them and I to see the areas on which we need to focus.
